A south coast soul dreamer and Thai Buddhist studio master come together to mash It up as The Instigater! A beautiful dub feel, that is totally roots and totally rockin’. The first single on Soul Bay records will be ‘Ghetto Babylon’ a wicked track that is already rippin’ up the dub rooms up and down the country, for real. The Instigater! Professor Dallawayja –- Vocals and vibes Chatri -– sweetness and light Formed some two years back after a few long summers drifting away to the sounds of Augustus Pablo & The Skatalites. They have spent their days locked away in the heart of Studio 49, mixing & mashing up some rare dub wonders. They are currently working on their debut album working title ‘The Last train to Soul Bay’

UK's south coast label Soul Bay Records has unleashed a notable 12" single from a duo called The Instigater! On their second release this roots'n'dub duo, consisting of Mark Dallaway (vocals, melodica and 'the knowledge') and Chatri Art (creator of sound), has managed to bring forth a vibrant blur of dub & ska. "Last Train To Soul Bay Parts 1 & 2" is a wicked up-tempo piece with a haunting sound, a nice ska flavour and a trippy dance vibe. Very enjoyable effort and definitely one that will mash up the dancefloor
wherever it is played. Also worth of hearing is the "Soul Boy Mix", actually the vocal version of "Last Train To Soul Bay". The solid instrumental "East Meets West" comes with a different mood as it has a more roots and also dub oriented vibe. Incorporating a wicked bass line and very nice saxophone parts this tune once again shows that The Instigater! is fully capable of creating some noteworthy music.
